Soccer Game Preview: Skyline vs. East

For the first time this season, Skyline will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will host the East Leopards at 3:30 p.m. Skyline's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Skyline saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of Salem Hills by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, East put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand Sky View a 2-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Leopards have won by exactly two goals.

Jorge Beltran and Alejandro Preciado scored both of East's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

East pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Skyline, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Skyline couldn't quite get it done against East in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can Skyline avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
