Soccer Game Preview: River Forest vs. Griffith

River Forest hasn't had much luck against Griffith recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Ingots will square off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m.

River Forest fell victim to Washington Township and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 4-0 to the Senators.

Meanwhile, Griffith came into Saturday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out Hebron 3-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 25, 2021, but that streak is no more.

Griffith hit Hebron with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mason Salazar, Michael McKinney Jr, and Jacob Zielke.

River Forest's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Griffith, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7-2.

River Forest suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Griffith when the teams last played back in September. Can the Ingots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
