Football Preview: Tri-Cities Bulldogs vs. KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors
The Tri-Cities Bulldogs will head out to take on the KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tri-Cities will be strutting in after a win while KIPP Atlanta Collegiate will be coming in after a defeat.
While Bulldogs fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Thursday's season opener. They came out on top in a nail-biter against M.L. King last Thursday, sneaking past 21-19. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, KIPP Atlanta Collegiate came up short against Social Circle on Friday and fell 15-2. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
KIPP Atlanta Collegiate wouldn't let Social Circle keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Isaiah Avery was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance. Avery is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least six every time he's taken the field this season. Another thorn in Social Circle's side was James Dean-Smith, who picked up two sacks and made six total tackles (3.0 for loss).
