Volleyball Recap: Butler's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Butler came tearing into Thursday's game with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Piqua Indians. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Aviators also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-27, 25-19, 25-12.

Sophia Guggenbiller paced Butler's offense, picking up 15 kills. Guggenbiller got some help from Gabi Holop and her 25 assists. Alexia Dysinger controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Butler's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Piqua, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Butler will take on Xenia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Piqua, they will face off against Sidney at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
