Volleyball Recap: West Franklin's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

West Franklin can bid farewell to their three-match losing streak thanks to their match on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Yates Center Wildcats.

West Franklin never let Yates Center on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-17.

Zoe Dowd paced West Franklin's offense, picking up seven kills. Dowd got some help from Greelie McMahan and her seven assists. Sophia Steele controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

West Franklin's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Yates Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.

West Franklin has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Osage City on the 27th. As for Yates Center, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Maranatha Christian Academy on the 27th.
