After flying high against Arizona Lutheran Academy on Tuesday, Horizon Honors came back down to earth. Horizon Honors fell just short of Phoenix Country Day by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Horizon Honors' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Horizon Honors saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Holweger, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Horizon Honors' defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 15-5-1. As for Phoenix Country Day, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.

Coming up, Horizon Honors will challenge Santa Cruz Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Phoenix Country Day, they will square off against ALA - Anthem South at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
