Softball Recap: Sylvan-Lucas Comes Up Short

If Sylvan-Lucas was feeling good fresh off their 10-2 takedown of Skyline on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs fell just short of the Thunderbirds by a score of 11-10 on Tuesday. Mustangs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Thunderbirds since on Tuesday.

Brooklyn Thielen was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and three doubles. Another player making a difference was Olivia Crawford, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Sylvan-Lucas' loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Skyline, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Sylvan-Lucas wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-7 defeat against Republic County on the 1st. As for Skyline, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cimarron at 4:00 p.m. on the 25th.
