Softball Recap: Pennridge Rams vs. Central Bucks South Titans
Pennridge started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Central Bucks South. They fell 6-2 to the Titans on Tuesday. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
Averi Dockery was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). What's more, she gave up only one walk, the fewest she's had since back in March. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Jadyn Gulbinski was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.
Pennridge has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Central Bucks South, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
