Softball Preview: Franklin County Eagles vs. Lord Botetourt Cavaliers
The Franklin County Eagles will challenge the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Wednesday, Franklin County made easy work of Cave Spring and carried off a 13-4 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.
Brooke Weaver spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Franklin County got a massive performance out of Madysen McCrickard, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. McCrickard is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Eva Custer was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
