Volleyball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

If Centennial was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Columbus International on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Stars lost 3-0 to the Whetstone Braves on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Stars in their meetings with the Braves: they've now lost eight in a row.

Centennial's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-4. As for Whetstone, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Centennial will take on rival Mifflin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Whetstone is set to square off against their familiar foe East at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
