Volleyball Recap: Appleton North Comes Up Short

Appleton North suffered their biggest loss since September 26, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against the Kimberly Papermakers, falling 3-0. The Lightning haven't had much luck with the Papermakers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14, 25-11.

Kimberly's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Adia Munn, who had ten digs and three aces. That's the most aces Munn has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Finley Van Lannen, who had 11 digs and two aces.

Appleton North's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Kimberly, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Appleton North has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Menomonee Falls on the 19th. As for Kimberly, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Sheboygan Falls on the 19th.
