Football Recap: Mishawaka Marian Takes a Loss

Mishawaka Marian lost against Penn back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Knights were outmatched by the Kingsmen and fell 54-14. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-7.

Mishawaka Marian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Terrance Lane Jr, who gained 148 total yards and two touchdowns, and Vinny Gruber, who threw for 78 yards and one touchdown.incredibly, Lane Jr got all that yardage with just one huge grab

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed eight in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Lane Jr, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Mishawaka Marian's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-3. As for Penn, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
