Fort Scott extended the longest winning streak in Southeast Kansas this week by beating Iola, 27-13. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Tigers.

Field Kindley made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,889 from 2,867. The improvement was largely due to a 68-20 victory over Columbus last week.

Field Kindley's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Golden Tornado feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Nathan Finley has thrown for 1,471 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while James Newton has 30 catches for 591 yards.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Chanute takes on Fort Scott. The Blue Comets are in third place, while Bob Campbell's team is in fourth place.
