Softball Recap: Jackson Comes Up Short

Green hit Jackson with a six-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Polar Bears fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 13-12. The loss continues a trend for the Polar Bears in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost eight in a row.

Annalise Wilson led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Kylie Kristoff, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Jackson's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Green, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Jackson and Green should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Polar Bears (ranked 20th) will meet McKinley (ranked 330th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Green will take on Washington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (26 vs. 281).
