Basketball Recap: Booker T. Washington Comes Up Short

Booker T. Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-53 heartbreaker at the hands of the Edison Red Raiders. The Tornadoes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Edison was led to victory by Jean Viterlens Joseph and Lucas Reynolds. Joseph dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Reynolds went 5 for 9 en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Juarez, who posted 11 points.

Booker T. Washington's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Edison, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10.

Both are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Booker T. Washington will take on Immaculata-La Salle on Monday. Booker T. Washington is facing Immaculata-La Salle at the right time seeing as Immaculata-La Salle is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Edison has already played their next game (against Ransom Everglades), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
