Baseball Recap: St. Louis HomeSchool P Takes a Loss

The St. Louis HomeSchool P Patriots didn't have quite enough to beat the Graves County Eagles on Saturday and fell 7-6. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Will Schark was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Janssen, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

St. Louis HomeSchool P's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Graves County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.

St. Louis HomeSchool P and Graves County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. The Patriots (ranked 129th) will meet Valmeyer (ranked 344th) at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Graves County will square off against Murray at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (20 vs. 105).
