Baseball Recap: Onalaska Takes a Loss

Onalaska fell victim to Merrill and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 10-0 to the Bluejays. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hilltoppers of the 7-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Onalaska now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Merrill, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season.

The future could be bright for both Onalaska and Merrill: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Hilltoppers will look to extend La Crosse Central's six-game losing streak when they meet at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Merrill will try to hand Waunakee their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
