            Softball Recap: Addison Knights vs. Campbell-Savona Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            Addison had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Campbell-Savona on Tuesday. The Knights blew past the Panthers 8-2. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive  win against them.

 Claire Thompson was a  major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 5.1  strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases and one  run.
 In other batting news,  Lillian Atwood and  Ava Knowles did most of the damage at the plate:  Atwood  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  triple, while  Knowles  went 3-for-5 with four  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run. That's the most  RBI  Knowles has posted since back in April.  Hadleigh Watson was another key player,  going 2-for-5 with one  home run, two  RBI,  and one  double.
Addison's record now sits at 8-5. As for Campbell-Savona, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record  this season.
As of now, neither Addison nor Campbell-Savona have any future games scheduled.
