Volleyball Recap: Wasatch Wasps vs. Hunter Wolverines

Wasatch's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Hunter Wolverines as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Wasatch not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Hunter between 13 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-13, 25-14.

Alec Slater paced Wasatch's offense, picking up nine kills. Slater got some help from Brody Hulme and his 25 assists. Hulme was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Hunter's loss came despite strong showings from Mervyn Vera and Legrand Tahi. Vera had 12 digs, while Tahi had five digs. Vera is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last five games he's played.

Wasatch's win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Hunter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season.
