Trista Corshia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kaleigh Simpson, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Megan Skarin, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Dedham won against Milton on Thursday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Marauders blew past Ashland 12-1. The Marauders haven't had any issues with the Clockers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Dedham got a massive performance out of Joslyn Roberts, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Roberts a new career-high in RBI (two). Mary Stronach was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Dedham was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ashland only posted a batting average of .296.
Bellingham's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Dedham, their win bumped their record up to 5-3-1.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bellingham hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .317. However, it's not like Dedham struggles in that department as they've averaged .388. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
