Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Licking Valley). They claimed a resounding 41-14 win over the Heath Bulldogs. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 299th).

The victory keeps Licking Valley at an undefeated 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.5 points on average this season. As for Heath, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Licking Valley will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Zanesville at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Heath, they will host Mt. Vernon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Yellowjackets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.75 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
