Basketball Game Preview: Churubusco Eagles vs. Fremont Eagles

Churubusco and Fremont are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Churubusco Eagles will welcome the Fremont Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Churubusco and six for Fremont.

Churubusco is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Fort Wayne Bishop Luers on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Churubusco had to suffer through a 87-33 loss at the hands of Fort Wayne Bishop Luers. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-13.

Meanwhile, Fremont opened the new year with a less-than-successful 50-39 loss to Woodlan.

Churubusco's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Fremont, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Things could have been worse for Churubusco, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 66-51 loss to Fremont in their previous matchup back in January of 2024.
