Football Recap: Dixie County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Dixie County had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it six. They were outmatched by the Chiefland Indians and fell 63-8. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 497th, while the Indians are ranked 109th).

Keydran Teague threw for 100 yards on ten of 20 attempts.

As for Chiefland, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 27 points or more this season.

Matt Goodale continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 154 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 81.8% of his passes, and also punching in one touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Kareem Hall, who rushed for 43 yards and one score.

Dixie County has already played their next matchup, a 74-0 loss against Blountstown on the 10th. As for Chiefland, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 30-15 victory against Taylor County on the 10th.
