Basketball Recap: Mankato West Comes Up Short

Mankato West and Mankato East faced off in a cross-town battle on Saturday. The Mankato West Scarlets had to suffer through a 80-43 loss at the hands of the Mankato East Cougars. The match marked the Scarlets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Mankato West has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Mankato East, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
