Football Recap: Monroe Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 26-20 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jackson Vikings. The Trojans were down 26-6 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Jackson, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Monroe will challenge Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jackson, they will square off against Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
