Softball Game Preview: Fairfax Lions vs. Los Angeles CES Unicorns

Fairfax has gone 8-2 against Los Angeles CES recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Lions will be playing at home against the Unicorns at 2:30 p.m. Fairfax comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Fairfax duked it out with University on Monday. The Lions lost 19-3 to the Wildcats.

Keithsy Segura was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles CES fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Westchester on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Comets by a score of 10-9. The Unicorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Annabel Dumas made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, five stolen bases, and five RBI. Elise Gay was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Los Angeles CES' defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Fairfax, their loss dropped their record down to 0-15.
