Basketball Recap: North Warren Central Takes a Loss

North Warren Central lost against Corinth back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The North Warren Central Cougars were outmatched by the Corinth Riverhawks and fell 72-31. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 557th, while the Riverhawks are ranked 266th).

It was another big night for Whitney Cameron, who went 7 for 9 en route to 19 points and eight steals for Corinth. Cameron has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Bella Craig, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 17 points in addition to five assists and four steals.

North Warren Central has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Corinth, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

North Warren Central will welcome Warrensburg at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Corinth, they will head out to challenge Lake George at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
