Volleyball Recap: South Kitsap Wolves vs. Curtis Vikings

After flying high against Bonney Lake last Monday, South Kitsap came back down to earth. The South Kitsap Wolves fell 3-1 to the Curtis Vikings on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

The final score came out to 25-18, 22-25, 25-9, 25-20.

Even though they lost, South Kitsap kept the net locked down and finished the game with 17 blocks. That's the most blocks they've posted since back in September.

South Kitsap's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7-1. As for Curtis, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

After both having extra time off, South Kitsap and Emerald Ridge will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Emerald Ridge is coming into the matchup with four straight victories at home, so South Kitsap will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Curtis, they will face off against Yelm at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Curtis is facing Yelm at the right time seeing as Yelm is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
