Basketball Recap: Orchard Park Takes Down Williamsville East in a Playoff Battle

Orchard Park had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They breezed past the Williamsville East Flames to the tune of 73-34 on Tuesday. The Quakers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 games by 21 points or more this season.

Halle Senfield was her usual excellent self, to rack up 17 points along with six boards and five steals. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Kandefer, who posted seven points and five steals.

Orchard Park smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in six consecutive matches.

Orchard Park is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.1 points. Williamsville East is on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
