Basketball Game Preview: Ithaca Bulldogs vs. Kickapoo Panthers

For the second straight game, Ithaca will face off against Kickapoo. The Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Ithaca came up short against Kickapoo and fell 36-28. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

Kickapoo's win came from a few key players that Ithaca will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Breylyn Culver, who posted nine points in addition to seven boards and seven steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendal Andolsek, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 20 rebounds.

Kickapoo smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive contests.

Kickapoo's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-11. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points on average over those games. As for Ithaca, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.
