Wesson had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Hazlehurst Indians a 15-0 shutout on Thursday. The Cobras might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by six runs or more this season.

Wesson's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Hazlehurst, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Looking ahead, Wesson will square off against West Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cobras 2.8, the Trojans 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Hazlehurst does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
