Softball Recap: Pine Grove Comes Up Short

Pine Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 7-1 to the Booneville Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2025.

Pine Grove saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anaston Christian, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Pine Grove's record is now 0-3. As for Booneville, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine Grove will square off against Kossuth at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Booneville, they will challenge East Union at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
