Football Recap: Forsan Buffaloes vs. Stanton Buffaloes
Forsan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 37-36 to the Stanton Buffaloes. Forsan was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Stanton apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
Despite the loss, Forsan still got an impressive performance from Huston Stockton, who rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. That's the most rushing yards Stockton has posted since back in September of 2023. Hayden Bowlin also helped out with an impressive 88 receiving yards.
Forsan wouldn't let Stanton keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Forsan can thank Stockton and Oscar Holguin for forcing both of them.
Forsan's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Stanton, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.
Forsan will head out to face off against Wink at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Forsan focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Friday. As for Stanton, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m.
