            Baseball Recap: Paraclete Spirits vs. St. Paul Swordsmen        
        
		
        
        
            Paraclete was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss. They fell  5-2 to the St. Paul Swordsmen. The Spirits were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Swordsmen apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in April of 2023.
 Jacob Draper was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  tossed six innings while giving up just two earned  (and three unearned) runs off   six  hits. Those  hits were  his first of the season.

 On the hitting side,  Julian Trejo and  Armando Saucedo stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Trejo  scored a  run and  stole  Two bases. while going 2-for-3, while  Saucedo  scored a  run and  stole  Two bases. while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. Those  two  stolen bases gave  Saucedo a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Abraham Perez, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  RBI.
Paraclete's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for St. Paul, their  victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-3.
 Coincidentally, Paraclete and St. Paul will both be playing Cajon the next time they take the field. St. Paul will  host Cajon at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday, while Paraclete will  host them  at 3:15  p.m.  on Thursday.
