Baseball Recap: Center Moriches Extends Winning Streak to Four

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Center Moriches had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Mount Sinai Mustangs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Red Devils have posted since April 24th.

The victory (which was Center Moriches' fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Mount Sinai, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-10.

As of now, neither Center Moriches nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
