Softball Game Preview: Southwest Trojans vs. Miller Cardinals

Southwest's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Blue Eye with a sharp 16-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won three contests by 14 runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Miller didn't have quite enough to beat Springfield Catholic on Saturday and fell 8-7. The game marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Southwest and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Miller, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
