Agoura hasn't had much luck against Oaks Christian recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Chargers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 3:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Agoura sitting on three straight wins and Oaks Christian on six.
Agoura is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Calabasas a 30-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering the Chargers have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Aly Chavez looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February.

On the hitting side, Mia Gomez and Amaya Del Olmo did most of the damage at the plate: Gomez fired off three home runs, ten RBI, and six runs while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances, while Del Olmo fired off three home runs, eight RBI, and four runs while going 5-for-6. Those three home runs gave Del Olmo a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordy Charash, who went 4-for-5 with five runs and two RBI.
Agoura hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Oaks Christian beat Royal 6-2 on Friday.
Sophia Debs spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Giabella Otani, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Garcia, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.
Oaks Christian pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for Agoura, their victory bumped their record up to 14-10.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Agoura hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.2 home runs per game. However, it's not like Oaks Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Agoura came out on top in a nail-biter against Oaks Christian in their previous meeting on April 1st, sneaking past 7-5. Will the Chargers repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
