Preview: Putnam Kingsmen vs. Parkrose Broncos
The Putnam Kingsmen will stay at home for another game and welcome the Parkrose Broncos at 7:15 p.m. on February 8th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard on Thursday.
Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Putnam at home against Hillsboro as the team secured a 63-28 victory. Given Putnam's advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while Hillsboro is ranked 245th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Parkrose lost to Canby on the road by a decisive 74-59 margin on Tuesday.
Putnam has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Parkrose, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.
Putnam strolled past Parkrose in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 67-50. Will Putnam repeat their success, or does Parkrose have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
