Softball Recap: West Boca Raton Bulls vs. Monarch Knights

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but West Boca Raton had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They skirted past the Monarch Knights 13-11. The win made it back-to-back victories for West Boca Raton.

West Boca Raton got a massive performance out of Madison Luft, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle David, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.

On Monarch's side, Sammie Rice made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. Faith Lindeman was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.

Even though they lost, Monarch kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

West Boca Raton's victory bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Monarch, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.
