Soccer Recap: Rome Free Academy Takes a Loss

Rome Free Academy came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Proctor Raiders, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Rome Free Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 286th, while Proctor are ranked 27th).

Rome Free Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Proctor, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3-1.

Rome Free Academy has already played their next match (against Oneida), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Proctor, they are taking a road trip to square off against Holland Patent at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
