Baseball Game Preview: Paloma Valley Wildcats vs. Temecula Valley Golden Bears

The Paloma Valley Wildcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Temecula Valley Golden Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Paloma Valley's hitters haven't had much luck over their past eight games, but Friday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Paloma Valley's tournament run continued when they took on Great Oak on Thursday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Wolfpack by a score of 3-2.

Meanwhile, Temecula Valley fell victim to Santiago and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 13-0 to the Sharks. The Golden Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Temecula Valley got a good showing from Grayson Martin, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Martin has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Temecula Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Hilt, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Temecula Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Paloma Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
