Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Doherty Memorial). They breezed past the Auburn Rockets to the tune of 47-14 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Highlanders considering their 13-point performance the matchup before.

Doherty Memorial's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-4. As for Auburn, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

Coming up, Doherty Memorial will be playing at home against South at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Highlanders will be up against the Colonels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.17 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Auburn, they will head out to take on Tantasqua Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' defense has only allowed 13.8 points per game this season, so the Rockets' offense will have their work cut out for them.
