Palm Desert and Beckman squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Palm Desert had to settle for second. They took a hard 28-14 fall against the Patriots. The Aztecs' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Alfred 'AJ' Rivera Jr. threw for 256 yards and a pair of TDs. Jonah Toland was his top target, picking up 56 receiving yards.

Makhi Czaykowski had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 148 yards and two scores while picking up 7.0 yards per carry, and also picking up 67 receiving yards and one touchdown for Beckman. Czaykowski's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 141 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Noah Nam, who threw for 153 yards and a pair of TDs.

Palm Desert's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Beckman, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Palm Desert does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Beckman, they will take on Brea Olinda at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
