Softball Recap: Collegium Charter Takes a Loss

If Collegium Charter was feeling good fresh off their 14-8 takedown of Delaware County Christian on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougar came up short against the Faith Christian Academy Lions on Friday, falling 17-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-2 back in April.

Collegium Charter saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Woolfolk, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Woolfolk is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Elliot Fraser also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Collegium Charter dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Faith Christian Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Collegium Charter will face off against Lower Moreland at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Faith Christian Academy, they will square off against Bristol at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed one run per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
