Softball Recap: West Comes Up Short

West lost against Kimball last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wolfpack came up short against the Jaguars, falling 11-3. That's two games in a row now that the Wolfpack have lost by exactly eight runs.

Malia Morreira was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played.

This is the second loss in a row for West and nudges their season record down to 4-16. As for Kimball, their victory bumped their record up to 15-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West will welcome Lodi at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kimball, they will host St. Mary's at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.95 runs per game on average), something the Jaguars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
