Meanwhile, North Gaston's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Forestview. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.
Kings Mountain pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for North Gaston, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Everything came up roses for Kings Mountain against North Gaston in their previous matchup back in September of 2023, as the team secured a 42-0 win.
