Basketball Recap: Mt. St. Joseph Academy Comes Up Short

Mt. St. Joseph Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the Hartford Hurricanes, falling 73-37. While losing is never fun, the Green Wave can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Vermont basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Hurricanes are ranked tenth).

Mt. St. Joseph Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Hartford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Mt. St. Joseph Academy will head out to take on Fair Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fair Haven will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Mt. St. Joseph Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hartford, they will square off against Windsor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hartford knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Windsor likes a good challenge.
