Football Recap: Hallettsville Brahmas vs. Jones Trojans
Hallettsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 26-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jones Trojans.
Beau Auzston was nothing short of spectacular for Jones: he threw for 289 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Those 82 rushing yards gave Auzston a new career-high.
Hallettsville now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Jones, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hallettsville will welcome Rockport-Fulton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jones, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against El Campo at 7:30 p.m. on October 11th.
