Basketball Recap: Hammond Morton Comes Up Short at Home Against Hammond Bishop Noll

Hammond Morton unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 61-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Maddux Laurincik was the offensive standout of the matchup as he posted 18 points. Those 18 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaray Walker, who put up 12 points.

Hammond Bishop Noll has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Hammond Morton will take on Michigan City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, they will challenge Kankakee Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
