The Tucson High Magnet School Badgers were able to grind out a solid win over the Walden Grove Red Wolves on Friday, taking the game 27-16.

Tucson High Magnet School didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Oliver Simmers, Dominic Drow, and Romelo Arandules picked up one apiece. Drow is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least nine every time he's taken the field this season.

Despite the loss, Walden Grove still got an impressive performance from Gauge Abalos, who threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns.

Tucson High Magnet School's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Walden Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tucson High Magnet School will square off against Buena at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Badgers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Walden Grove, they will venture away from home to take on Vista Grande at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
